Two weeks after the Big Kahuna Miami at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the AMA Pro Road Racing season will come to a close at America’s newest racetrack, with the Big Kahuna New Orleans scheduled for the weekend of October 5 – 7, 2012 as the first professional motorsports event to be held at NOLA Motorsports Park.

The track was designed by Alan Wilson and is located just 20 minutes from the historic French Quarter area in downtown New Orleans, La. The state-of-the-art facility features excellent areas for spectator viewing and is focused on making motorsports accessible to a broad range of enthusiasts across all facets of the motorsports community. In addition to the two international-standard race tracks, the 600+ acre park-like venue also has a world-class karting facility, an eight acre autocross pad, luxury trackside villas and a great public cafe.

When fans aren’t at the track enjoying the thrilling entertainment provided by M1 PowerSports and the stars of AMA Pro Road Racing, they can explore the incredible city of New Orleans. The accommodations are plentiful, and special rates have been secured at the hotels of the New Orleans Hotel Collection. Also, music is everywhere, the people are friendly and the food is recognized worldwide. Diverse cultural experiences range from the party scene on Bourbon Street to a quiet stroll through the historic French Quarter to an afternoon ride on a street car viewing the amazing Uptown architecture.
